Cards with a face lift!

I worked on swaps all day and after I did all the designing of the cards they seemed to get a few face lifts along the way.

You may remember this card the other day:

Butterfly

I gave it a little face lift tonight:

Not much difference, however the butterfly now has Iridescent Ice all over it.  Very pretty.  I’ve had a few people ask me about making the banners on the cards so I thought I would show you in a few pics how to make them.  Hopefully this will give you more of a visual and help you when making your own.  They are soooooo addicting.

Here ya go:

Okay, and now one last card for tonight.  I really do not want to see the stamp set Season of Friendship go.  It’s currently in the Holiday Mini and I adore this set.  I love it because you can use it for sooooooo many holidays.  Here is my take on Valentines with it!

Thankfully the Love You Much stamp set coordinates VERY WELL with the Heart punch.  It made this card much easier.

Here you can see how dimensional this card really is.

The start of a NEW holiday!

I spent the better part of my day today packing up all the Christmas decorations and pulling out my Valentines decorations.  Once again I have successfully confused my children as I was pulling out the Valentines items out of the closet.  Alexis told me at least 5 times that it wasn’t for another month and was this really necessary?  Jeesh!  :) I think she was so concerned because her birthday is just a week away.  My little girl will turn six very soon and she seems to think I will forget.  Tonight I proved her wrong.  We sat down and made the invitations to her party.  She was giddy with excitement.

I used the Large Scallop Die Cut to make the base and then the Scallop #2 for the Kraft Cardstock and my main image.  I stamped Crazy for Cupcakes on the Kraft cardstock using Basic Black ink and then used markers, dazzling diamonds and that puffy stuff for the tops of the cupcakes.  This is when Alexis started dancing around my stamp room.  She thought this was "COOL"!  The Designer Paper comes from the Level 3 Hostess Simply Scrappin’ Kit as well as the Flower that is stamped at the top.  I also added a Button on top of the flower to give it a little more dimension.

Here is a closer look:

Once again, lots of dimensionals.  Most important, she loved them.  :)

I also made a quick Valentine card tonight using A Happy Heart.  This set is in the Holiday Mini so it won’t be available too much longer.  Super set and fun to stamp!

XOXO

I used an eraser to make the polka dots with Whisper White Craft Ink on the bottom of the card.

Have a super weekend. I will be working on swaps for Leadership this weekend.  Lots of stampin’ is in my future.  Whoo Hoo!

My Valentine!

Published by Kimberly under Cards, Valentines Day

Well, for those of you sitting at your computer just dying to know if my husband made it home for Valentines….. He DID! Ahhhhhh!!!! Even through all the bad weather, broken plane and such, he was home. Of course he had a class last night and it didn’t make for a great Valentines evening, however I was so happy he was home. The kids had a blast at their Valentines parties and I stamped the day away when I had the chance. Of course I was happy to stamp my sweetheart a card. I love the new Always stamp set and find it so versitle when it comes to stamping cards or scrapbooking. If you are a scrapper, this is a GREAT set to scrap with. So many great ideas with this set. Anyhoo, here is my card I made for Russ. I think it turned out pretty foo foo. Whatever, he liked it and honestly the inside was most important. :)
Have a FANTABULOUS weekend.
