Timeless Treasures
The other night I started pulling my retiring stamp sets from the shelves to see what was leaving me. Oh WOW was I sad and WOW was I happy. It was a mixed emotion type of night. There were some sets that I was terribly sad to see go and there are others I couldn't be more happy to FINALLY see go away. <smile>
The card I made today is a set I really will miss but I didn't use it a lot. Maybe I didn't want to call to many of my friends antiques or old? Ha. I do love the images and you know I love antiques.
I used a Very Vanilla cardstock base and then used my favorite DSP, First Edition to make banners across the card. I used the Well Worn DSP at the top of the card. I added a bit of Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon and there you have it. Below you will find a list of products I used.
You can find all of these products in my Online Store.
Products Used:

Back to Business
Our Spring Break is over and it's time to get back to business. We had a GREAT week during our Stay-cation at home. The Prince and I enjoyed more treasure hunting and finishing up the piano room with our latest finds. I will follow up with pictures later. We also enjoyed lots of great time with the kids. We did go on a little day trip to Luray Caverns. The drive was beautiful. I have to say that Spring time in Virginia is a gorgeous site.
There are lots of great things going on in the Stampin' Up! world. You can check our the Clearance Rack where they have added around 55 new items to the Rack. Great deals you really don't want to miss out on. Today was MDS Tuesday which means new digital downloads. I'm pretty excited about one of the new downloads. It's a hexagon punch and it's pretty hot in the digital world. You will find that punch on many cool layouts. It's a must have. Here is a pic of it:

Get Your Sun Shades!
You won't need them in Virginia today but I'm getting ready to brighten my stamp room a little with this card. I pulled out the bright colors and accessories for today's card!
I pulled out my pretty Mixed Bunch stamp set from the Occasions Mini and felt the need to play with BRIGHT colors. For this card I embossed directly onto the First Edition DSP using three fun Embossing Powders- Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, and Wild Wasabi. Usually I'm not quick to grab the bright colors. Maybe because Spring is here it put me in the mood but I really loved the way these flowers popped off the First Edition DSP. Another thing I noticed is the embossing powders are not as bright and more muted. I personally LOVE this. Below is the list of products I used on this card.
Products Used:
Stamps: Mixed Bunch – Clear-Mount Stamp 125537, Fabulous Phrases 117002
Ink: VersaMark
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise

Next I have a new Digital Layout. Today's layout uses a few new downloads released yesterday.
I started this layout with a Whisper White Textured 12 x 12 cardstock and then placed a Vintage Overlay on top of it. I like the color it makes my background. I also used lots of Square punches but turned them 180 degrees so I could have a diamond shape. I then filled all of them with the Modern Prints DSP and bordered them with the Wild About You Black border stamp brush. You'll notice in the top right of the layout is the new ripple ribbon we have. WHOA! That got me super excited. Below you will find all the downloads I used for this layout. You can find these in my Digital Online Store. I'm here to help you if you are ready to start a digital album. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Friday!
It's been a FANTASTIC Friday. I can't believe it's almost 10pm. WOW my day flew by. I'm really excited to share something about my boy. As I've shared this past week about some of our struggles we have been working on a plan with Brandon and with his teachers. I think the plan is working. It's a little early to really say but I have to share a profound statement that Brandon shared with me today after school. First, he had a GREAT day at school. He even turned in his class work. I almost fainted. When I asked how his day was he said to me, "Mama, today was the best day at school that I've had in the last three months." I wanted to sit in a corner and just cry. Talk about music to a Mama's ears.
We had a funny today as well. Brandon had to be at the school at 7 am to play in a concert for a big school award program. His school was awarded the School of Excellence for the county. They had a big to-do today. When my kids need to be somewhere that early I literally roll out of the bed, get them ready and get in the car. Visualize my hair going 9 different ways, mascara under my eyes and pj's that DO not match. In my book I call this-NOT pretty. I get Brandon to the school and pull into the circle to drop him off and he looks at me like, "Uh Mama, What are you doing?" I told him to have a great day. He says, "you're not watching my concert?" WHAT?? I told him this was not for parents and besides when do I ever go out in public looking like this? He looked at me and said, "Mama, you're beautiful just like that. You have to come in!" WHO can resist that? Okay, I did. I told him I would be right back. Thank God the school is close. Alexis and I flew home while I changed clothes, put on a little make up, placed a hat on my head and got her ready for school in a matter of 20 minutes. We were back at the school at 730am at the start of the event. Remember, parents were not invited as this was to honor the teachers. I brought my camera though and started shooting pics of the event. I looked like a hobo with my outfit and all these fancy people around me dressed to the nines. The things we do for our kids. Here is what I accomplished at the school even though I really wasn't supposed to be there.
I did make one little boy happy.
I made this Photo Collage using an 8 x 8 layout with MDS. I made a template for my pictures and then added a little title. The font is called Honey Script.
Let me share two more projects.
My club members made this card last night. This card has lots of layers and they made an envelope to match the card using our new Diagonal Score Tool. I used the following products for this card:
Stamps-Mouthwatering, Sweet Cake
Cardstock- Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark
Accessories- Label Framelits, Sweet Shoppe DSP, Pear Pizzazz Pleated Ribbon, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, Whisper White Brads, Melon Scented Embossing Folder, Lucky Limeade Marker, Soft Suede Marker, Poppy Marker and LOTS of dimensionals.
This next card is a hybrid. I used my MDS program for the sentiment.
I used a new download that was released this week. Check this out:
This download is called Mom, You're the Bomb. This stamp brush has fantastic sentiments for Mothers Day. Using my MDS program I placed a Label Framelit around the Sentiment and then printed on my home printer. Below you will find the other products that I used on this card. The Daffodil Delight Seam Binding ribbon is a new product that will be available in April.
Cardstock- Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories- Beau Chateau DSP, Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Label Framelits, Manhattan Flowers Embossing Folder, Soft Subtles Button, Linen Thread
I hope you have time to create something beautiful this weekend. I know the weather is going to be beautiful here. Not sure how we are going to spend it but I am sure I'll be able to make it down to my stamp room at some point. You can visit my Online Store HERE.
This may be a great weekend to check out the FREE My Digital Studio Trial Version. It gives you a taste of how great the program is. If you are ready to check it out you can visit my Digital Store HERE.

24 Years!
Today I have something exciting to share and I hope you don't mind. As most of you know I'm a military wife, but did you know I was a military brat too? Yes, I moved all across the United States growing up with my Army family. My dad's last duty station was in St. Louis, MO. That's where I completed High School and my dad retired at the same time of my graduation. Two weeks after I graduated my family moved to Pensacola, Florida. I was SUPER mad when we moved and thought my parents ruined my life. LOL. I survived that move! I was only 17 when we moved. Pensacola is where I call home or when people ask, "Where are you from?" I tell them Pensacola. 24 years ago the only way to "stay in touch" with my friends was to call or actually use pen and paper to send a note. I know, GASP! I was a bad friend and didn't really stay in touch with any of my high school buddies. It makes me kinda sad. However, with Facebook and many more social media outlets I've been able to connect with a few. Which brings me to my happy post… Today I was able to spend time with a high school friend that I had not seen in 24 years. My cheeks hurt from smiling. We chatted for over 2 hours and I loved catching up on the last 24 years. Not much has changed except we are both proud military wives, each have two kids and we both LOVE to go antique shopping. I am so excited she is just a few miles down the road from me and now we can pick up where we left off 24 years ago. I've always said never say good-bye when you are a military dependent or spouse because somehow or someway you always see someone again. It's a good thing.
Today I have two quick shares. The card I have for you today was "sprouted" by my friend Cathy. We did a late night chat last night and she shared a beautiful card she made that was inspired by the Mini Occasions catalog on page 15. I loved it so much I wanted to use some of the elements from it. Here it is:
The main element I was excited about was the Window Sheet and the pearls. It just looked elegant. Super easy card and even easier when I used my Heart Framelit Dies. I love the Framelit Dies and how they nest. I used the Take it to Heart stamp set #12522 and then added a few ribbon pieces and the sentiment comes from Fabulous Phrases.
Lastly, I have a Digital page to share. I am using a download that was new yesterday. The frames are SUPER SUPER cool.
Here are the downloads I used for this layout. I encourage you to use the Candid Frames. They are AWESOME. You can visit my Digi Store HERE.

I hope you have a GREAT Wednesday. I'm off to run the kids all over town. Oh BOY!
