Weekend Crazies!
I love holiday weekends. It's usually filled with fun times with friends or relaxing on the couch doing much of nothing. I managed to succeed in both of these things this weekend. I lounged a bit, cleaned a bit, stamped a bit and enjoyed friends a bit. Everything was just a bit of fun.
We were lucky enough to be invited to a BBQ yesterday. This family is amazing and it's funny how much our families are alike. The wife is from Pensacola, and our husbands work together. The kids play great together and it was just a fun time. A few weeks back when I had my dentist debacle I needed someone to watch my kids and this couple jumped hoops to help me. I was so thankful. Since we were going to their home for a BBQ I wanted to make them something fun as a Thank You for helping me out. Here is what I came up with!
I started off by selecting a yummy wine. This is my FAVORITE! (THIS IS HUGE because I typically do NOT drink wine. This is a new favorite-Voulet Casorzo!) I wanted to dress it up with a Fall theme so I used our new Spice Cake Fabric. Seriously, I just tore a strip from one of the Fat Quarters and tied a pretty bow around the bottle and trimmed up my edges. I found these adorable Sandal Wine Coasters and thought they would be perfect for my Florida friend. I tied these from the bow using Linen Thread.

Here you can see a closer view of the fun fabric bow. Super simple, Super QUICK!

No gift can be without a card and I really wanted her to know how much I appreciated her help that crazy day. I used the Gently Falling stamp set and the Spice Cake DSP to glam up this card. I also brought in another stamp that was my favorite from last year called French Foliage. This is a super FALL set that you must have. It will complement all of your other Fall sets. I added one more stamp on here called Just Thank You (122911) and this is one of our A la Carte stamps. They are inexpensive and perfect for a fast card.

Here is a closer look. I love these colors together: Soft Suede, Pool Party, More Mustard. WOW, just a fun color palette.

You can find all of these fun products in my Online Store. Make sure you check the clearance rack. Stock up on your fall items now and start creating your fall cards. Make a friends day by sending the card. Happy Tuesday!

Hurricanes? Earthquakes? Next Please!
I don't think it's very often one can say they've been through a hurricane and an earthquake in the same week. Pure craziness but this is exactly what my kids are talking about to their friends. It's two NEW things they experienced and happy to tell you all about it. In fact they LOVE telling anyone how we slept in the basement bathroom through the hurricane. I am sure you laughing so let me explain. You could have a party in my basement bathroom it's so big. I have huge tree's in my backyard and the only thing I was concerned about with the hurricane was the tree's falling. To play it safe we took our air mattress and set up shop in the potty. Very convienent I might add. We had everything we needed. We woke up the next day and our clean up consisted of a few leaves on the ground. VERY thankful. Many of my East Coast friends have not been so lucky. Some are still without power. Some have tree's in their pools or on their homes. Hurricanes are not something to mess with and while this area may not have taken a beating I was quite surprised how lax they were in the preps. To me, safety is the key. If you read the reports on the news concerning the deaths that have occured, most were from tree's falling. Very sad. Let's hope our East Coast friends get their lives back to normal soon and I'm ready to take on the next thing please! Preferably DRAMA free!
Meanwhile on the ranch I've been busy getting back to what I love the most. Stamping! Since the kids are getting ready to go back to school it's time for me to go back to business. Believe it or not my Alexis is the driving force of me going back to work. She wants to know when her stamping friends are coming back? WOW! This could be her gentle way of telling me to get our of her face. *smile* I've put classes on the books and excited to see my customers again. It seems like forever that I held a class.
During the hurricane (or leaf blowing event) I was able to get a little stamping in. The new Holiday Mini goes live in just a few days. I can't wait. This mini catalog is super fun with lots of great stamping toys to entertain you for months. One of the projects I finished was actually a Make n Take project from convention this Summer. Yes, I'm a slacker. Not only that I screwed the whole thing up. This is what I get for not READING the directions. This project was supposed to be made using the beautiful Timeless Portrait Fabric. Not so much for me. Since I cut my fabric completely wrong I had to do a switch a roo and use the Spice Cake Fabric that is coming out in the Holiday Mini. Oh how you will love this fabric!!! Take a peek of my finished project. I really like these boxes which are also available on September 1st.

Then I made this card using the Spice Cake Designer Series paper and the Gently Falling stamp set. Love this two step stamp! This was made for a swap I did with my team. They are fantastic stampers.

Time to get back to work. I have a busy day ahead.

You can also go to the top of my website and click on Classes to Go. Just an FYI: The projects you make in this program are not simple projects. They are projects that make you go WOWSER! Hope you can join me. It's going to be another GREAT round!!

Super happy Pumpkins!
I went to the pumpkin patch today! Okay, big fat lie. You couldn’t find a pumpkin here if you wanted to because of all the SNOW! However, I have the cute Pumpkin Patch stamp set (116499) that I just love and I played with it for some time. This set is in the Holiday Mini catalog and my daughter had played with it more than I had. I had to play! I have four different designs to show you. Hang on to your pants!

Each of the cards have a similar layout with just a few changes to them. All the pumpkins were stamped using Craft ink. I used More Mustard, Pumpkin, Old Olive Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. All the pumpkins were stamped onto Kraft cardstock. Truly a Kimberly favorite. Each of the cards were stamped on the bottom using the Jumbo Wheel Bright Blessings (115626) using Really Rust ink on Really Rust cardstock. I used a few buttons and different sentiments from Grateful Greetings stamp set. I also used my favorite tool -the Color Spritzer Tool. Such a fun tool.
I loved making these cards.
I have a NEW Stamps/Scraps in the Mail program starting in November. You can check out all the details along the top of my blog or click the links below. These are my two favorite programs. This is the 10th Round of Stamps in the Mail. VERY exciting!!!! Lots of surprises and bonus projects during this round.
If you have any questions, just email me.
Time for me to turn up the heat. I am seriously FREEZING! Have you seen all the snow that Colorado has? I know my Denver friends have much more white stuff than we got. Sorry ladies. Have a GREAT Friday. I have to get the halloweenie costumers ready for our Trick or Treat fun! Can’t wait.

Serious Stampin’ Going On!
Like I told you yesterday, there has been lots of stamping going on here in my stamp room. I had two card classes back to back where my stampers really took home lots of cards. I wanted to share some of the cards we did tonight. This class is "Just Cards" and each month I change the theme. If your like me, I can stamp these wonderful cards but I am always out of the traditional all occassion cards. This month the theme is one I never like to stamp, but I do need. We stamped Get Well and Sympathy cards. I call this class an express class because we really do fast stamping. These cards are nice and quick and easy to put together. Here is taste of the express….

This card uses the Wellness Wishes (115356) stamp set. You can barely see it, but I used the Textured Jumbo Wheel (116685) on the bottom of the Brilliant Blue cardstock. Don’t forget to stamp the envelope. How cute is that Bandaid. I just love it.

This card uses the Wellness Wishes stamp set too. Again, simple assembly to make many of these cards. I made a faux ribbon banner by using the Crushed Curry DSP on the side of the card. Super easy, and a cool technique.

With these colors, who wouldn’t feel better? This is the last stamp in the Wellness Wishes. Really a great stamp set. I love the new In Color DSP. Designer Paper always adds such spunk to any card.

This beautiful stamp set, Thoughts and Prayers (113252) is really a must have in any stamp room. The stamp set is beautiful. I could go crazy with embellishments on ths card but I thought I did a good job of keeping it on the simple side. I used Bordering Blue, Soft Suede and Not Quite Navy cardstock. Oh yummy!

You know my feelings on the Medallion stamp set. It’s just a must have. YOU NEED IT! I love how these colors worked together. The front cover of the new Idea Book and Catalog gave me the color inspiration for this card. I really don’t think you can make an ugly card with the Medallion stamp. Just stamping on the envelope made me jump for joy.
This last card I am sharing is a card made at my last workshop. It was a Fall Themed Workshop!

This card uses the Falling Leaves stamp set and Bright Blessings Jumbo Wheel. Such a GREAT jumbo wheel. Can you see all the fabulous words? I also used a label from the Hodgepodge Hardware and cut the bottom piece off and had the sentiment hang from the Linen Thread.
I have many more to share tomorrow. I hope this inspires you to stamp some all occassion cards.
