Supah Spooky!

Before I left for vacation I couldn't stop making Halloween stuff.  It's just so fun to make.  Tonight's card I played with lots of fun products!  This card made my creative space a beautiful MESS! You know what I'm talking about.  I ended up with piles of stamp sets, punches, tools and inks everywhere.  When I finished this card I felt pretty darn satisfied.  Not so much because of the card but because of all the fun things I used.  LOL!

Let me show you the Supah Spooky Card!

As you can see, LOTS of products. Some new, some old.  All together… they make a fun Halloween card.  Below is a list of supplies!

Stamps: From the Crypt (115460), Style Beautiful (120483), Seasonal Sentiments (121130)

Cardstock: Basic Black, Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black

Accessories: Basic Black Striped Grosgrain ribbon (ribbon cut in half), Nite Owl DSP (123012), Cutter Kit (SERIOUSLY, favorite tool!), Distressing Essentials (118762), Rhinestones, Vintage Trinkets

Now, I have to just add one thing.  You NEED the Distressing Essentials.  Super great tool for your stamping needs.  It's like Sugar in your kitchen.  It's a staple product, right? Well, this Distressing Essentials is just that too.  Staple in your stamp room.  Gotta have it!  Add it to your order this month using my Online Shopping button and I will send you a card made using this GREAT tool!

Our vacations continues but only for a few short days.  <sigh>  I think we've packed in more fun this last week than ever.  I know my kids are starting to get wrinkles at a young age from too much smiling. Or, could it be prolonged time in a pool? Either way it's been great watching two very happy chicks play! Today was supah amazing.  We went on my parents boat and fished.  I personally did not touch a pole.  I was there for shooting the pics.  Little did I know Brandon wasn't keen on fishing either.  Let me set the story straight.  This child has a heart for animals.  We caught little minnows early this morning to have bait for fishing.  Once Brandon caught those minnows it was all downhill. They were now his FRIENDS and there was no way we were using them for bait.  Everyone had to be very strategic when baiting their hook.  Anyways, the kids both caught fish.  We threw them back in the ocean and Brandon said a prayer tonight that the fish were okay.  <sigh>  It was an awesome day with AWESOME memories!

Here are TWO happy Kids!

I hope you have great plans for the weekend.  We have one more great day to spend here and then we are back to reality.  I'm hoping our new friend "Hurricane Earl" doesn't decide to stay too close to the coast.  It could make getting home a little nuts.

Simple & Spooky

We're still busy with family here in Florida.  Gradually some of the family members have been going back home and now it's just my little family left of the outta towners.  I could get use to being lazy.  After a hectic few months of moving into the house it's been nice to really sit back and do nothing.  Although the kids have been going strong, Russ and I move in slow motion.  Today my mom and I ventured to the mall.  I was able to visit some stores that are not in Virginia.  We then came home and jumped into the pool which is where the water gun fight happened.  Again, I would show you pictures but "SHE" would kill me.  Let's just say she had a few hairs out of place.

Tonight I want to share a simple Halloween card with you. It's made with just a few layers.

I really wanted to make the bat layers with Basic Black cardstock but you couldn't see it.  SO I decided to keep with the Basic Gray bat.  I love that Bat Punch!

Hope your Thursday is FABULOUS! I'm going fishing.  This could be another GREAT adventure.  I'm not keen on putting a worm on a fishing pole.  Wish me luck!!

Getting scared!

I'm getting scared alright!  The fact that it took me about 2 hours to make 2 cards is scary in itself.  Now before you get crazy I have to explain.  Since it's been so long since I have been in my groove of stamping it's taking me forever to figure out what I need to do with all these great stamps.  Tonight my goal was to make a few Halloween cards.  Oh my word.  I love Halloween.  I had all these fun products all over my desk and then starting playing.  Then I started adding.  I just couldn't stop.  Kinda like yesterday's card that was never ending.  Remember that one? My card tonight was the same way.  I kept telling myself, "simmer down!"  It didn't work.

Here is the card for tonight.  There are so many products on here I will just have to list them.  Seriously a little overboard.  <sigh>

Talk about getting the right angle on these cards.  LOL!  Note the card holder… it was too heavy to stand by itself.  <giggle>

Here are the products that I used.  Many are from the Holiday Mini that will be released SOON.  So exciting. You will notice at the bottom I used the Waffle Paper.  I will show you how to use this great product once you have your hands on it.  I actually double layered the Waffle Paper and did a little silly dance because I thought it was Spooky Cool looking!!

Cardstock: Basic Black, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White,

Ink: Basic Black

Stamps: Dark & Dreary, Wicked Cool

Accessories: Spider Web Embossing Folder, Waffle Paper Assortment 2, Nite Owl DSP, Raven Lace Trim, Brights Designer Buttons, Large Scallop Punch, 1 3/4" Circle punch, Rich Razzleberry Marker, Spritzer Tool, Shimmer Paint, Scallop Border Punch, Cutter Kit

I hope your week is going fantastic.  I'm plugging away at a long list of things to do.  It's all good things.  Things that make me happy!  I'm looking forward to this weekend.  I think we will surprise the kids with something fun to do.  It hasn't been the most event filled summer for them. I did get "Best Mom Award" today when I found Raspberry Filled Krispy Creme donuts.   Oh my word they are soooooooo good! I ate TWO!

I hope to surprise you with something new tomorrow!

Halloween overload this week!

I had put it off for some time but the last two days proved to be the best days to catch up on classroom Halloween treat assembly.   With the weather being so CRAPPY and lots of snow falling I was stuck inside.  Now I am trying to catch up on all kinds of things.  Here is a collage of what I have worked on.  Lots of great ideas for you to see.

There you can see all my creations.  For the graveyard box you see above, you can find the template HERE.  These are super cute and fun to make.  I will post supplies later tonight.  It’s dinner time and the kids are acting as if they have never eaten a day in their little lives.  Stamping must take a back seat for a couple of hours.  Jeesh!  <smile>

Pumpkin Fever

I’m in my stamp room this morning working on lots of things dealing with pumpkins and skeletons!  Trying to finish up a few projects for the kids school parties this week.  My kids Fall break ended two hours ago.  They are back in SCHOOL!  Of course Mother Nature extended it by two hours this morning due to icy roads and snow.  UGH!

Anyways, I wanted to share a fun card with you this morning.  The stamp set Pumpkin Patch (116499) for 22.95 is a great set to add to your collection.  The beauty of this stamp set is you can use it for more than just pumpkins.  This set is very versatile.  I see balloons, Christmas lights, Eggs and much much more with it.  I love a stamp set that I can see WAY outside the box with.

I typically use Classic ink on 98% of my paper crafting projects.  For this I used Craft ink for my little pumpkins.  I really do like how Craft ink gives a muted effect when stamping on paper.  You just need to give a little time to dry.  I used the gorgeous Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper and mounted it to Chocolate Chip cardstock squares.  I’m not quite sure where I was going with this card, but here it is.  I just like the pumpkins.  I am working on a few more pumpkin cards today.

Make sure you are checking the NEW deal of the week on the right side of my side bar.  Stampin’ Up! has really provided some great deals this month.  I love these specials.  Check them out and don’t miss out!  Order on line from me and I will send you a little hand stamped gift as a "Thank You".

Time to get back to stamping.  It’s soooooooooooooooooooooo quiet in the house.  I love it.
