New Month=New Stuff!

Yes, Yes, Yes!  It’s time to gear up for an incredible new year with Stampin’ Up!  I love this time of year! I love when a new catalog is revealed with all the beautiful NEW stamp sets and fun new toys to play with!  TODAY is the DAY!  If you haven’t received the new catalog yet, please let me know.  I will send one straight to your  door so you can enjoy all the beauty this catalog brings.

I just finished giving my blog a little July facelift.  That means there are NEW specials on my sidebars as well as a new STAMPING project for you to see and try.  These specials are a MUST to check.  I am very excited about the new Recruiting special!  Starting July 15-August 31st you can become a demonstrator for $85 with the MIni Starter Kit.  Go check it out!  I will be chatting about this great opportunity more in the upcoming week!

Now listen to this!  Stampin’ Up! is doing a "Deal of the Week" for the entire month of July.  The first deal of the week is:

You may remember the previous tin I had posted about a week ago HERE! Same concept just new design using the Razzle Dazzle stamp set and new In Colors.  I love this Crushed Curry In Color.  It’s beautiful.  I also took a sponge and dyed the Organza Whisper White ribbon to make it match my tin.  EVERYONE should own Whisper White ribbon.  It’s super easy to dye the ribbon and now your ribbon can match every project!  Whoo Hooo!!  I’m off to bed to dream about my wish list for tomorrow’s big day! It’s an overall exciting day as my husband promotes to Commander tomorrow.  The kids and I are going to the base to pin on his new shiney duds.  I’m super proud of Russ!  I hope to share a pic!

*** Side note*** I changed a few things on my sidebar.  To see the Archives of past months posts just click on the drop down arrow.  The other way took up way too much space.  Same goes for past projects.  Just hit that little arrow button and it will display the project catagories for you.  I think it has more eye appeal.  Don’t you?

Thank You!

Wow was today a long day!  First, let me say a huge thank you to soooooo many of you that lifted my dad  up in prayer today.  The gratitude that I feel for so many of my stamping sisters, friends and family is just overwhelming.  I am so excited to tell you that my dads surgery was a huge success.  In fact, they went in and there is NO cancer.  I actually felt weak at the knees when my mom called today.  I know I asked her to repeat what she said 5 times.  I was just in disbelief.  It was truly amazing.  My dad’s response in the oh so groggy state was, "Hot Diggity Dog!"  He quickly fell asleep after that.  In fact, so asleep they had to give him a medicine called Narcan that reverses pain medication to make him wake up.  Of course he did not like that and clearly woke up!  This was good.

I heard from so many of you today of personal situations that you have experienced and please hear me when I say Thank You.  I just cannot express how overcome I was by the kindest words expressed to me.  I’ve always said I was the LUCKEST girl around for the greatest friends in the world and it stands true even more today.  I am lucky to have YOU!

I am mentally worn out today but had a club tonight with my dear friends and laughed.  It felt so good.

Not much personal stamping happened today, but I do have something I will share that we did a little over a week ago at a stamp camp.

This tin was a blast to make and I used the Great Friend stamp set along with the Blooms & Bulbs wheel.

Above you can see I just made an accordian album inside that held seed packets.  Wouldn’t this be a fun gift to give to a friend?

They were fun to make and not really difficult.  My friend Janet made me one ver similiar that held gift cards.  You can see in the

pic below you could either use seed packets or gift cards to insert into the pockets.

It’s time for me to rest this little pea brain of mine.  I think it’s been on overload most of the day.  Again, I thank you for all

your support today.  What an amazing group of people you are!

Glass Etching x4

Sometimes it takes 4x to get it down to the perfect science.  Sometimes even the fourth time isn’t perfect, however I think this one turned out pretty darn good.

I think glass etching is beautiful and add some RAW Vinyl (yes, Stampin’ Up! sells it and it’s soooooo good!)  to the project with your awesome Big Shot and you can really make a glass etching project into something beautimus!  Check it out:

Materials:

Stampin’ Up! Raw Vinyl, Big Shot Serif Essentials Alphabet, Flower, Daisies #2, Corduroy Buttons, Armour Etching Cream

*Note, the thicker you put the Armour Etching Cream onto the stencil, the better result you will have.  This is advice from a girl and 4 schmuckatelli plates later….

Mothers Day Layouts

If you remember this post with the Mothers Day 6 x 6 album, I wanted to share the pages with you.  I love putting together albums like these for gifts around the holidays.  They are quick and simple and always leave lasting memories for any one that receives them.  This was a popular class this month for my local stampers.  Again, the Small Kind Thoughts Stencil has been a great addition to my stamping/scrapbooking tools.  So here are the layouts that I placed in the album.

Canvas & Stencils

I think my Stenil blitz is almost over, but I hope you have been able to see the numerous projects you can make with this great product.  Todays project uses the stencil on Canvas.  I love making these scrapbooking canvas because no one ever pounds on my door to see my scrapbooks.  However, when they walk in my door, this is what they see.  I have them all over the place.  I used Acrylic Paint on the canvas with the stencil.  Worked like a charm.  Even better was using sponge daubers with them.  Here is a close up:

I also used Acrylic paint on the pretties flowers.  You can see all the products used at the bottom of this post.

Okay, so I rarely save any retired sets unless I can see that I will use it for a craft fair or for one of my darling kiddo’s.  Last night I had to make FAST invitations for Brandons birthday party this coming weekend.  As usual, riding by the seat of my pants.  I used the retired set Ahoy Matey.  I miss this stamp set.  Here is his invitation and needless to say he was a tickled pirate when he went to bed last night.

I LoVe that Circle Scallop Die Cut and then I used the Textured Impressions plate #4 for the bottom of the card and it looks so REAL!!!  In fact, I have a trick for the textured plates I hope to video soon.  *wink*

Anyways, I know the set is retired but you can see I had fun making these little invites.  Now to finish the party planning.  YIKES!

Now for a few ANNOUNCEMENTS!  Please check the SPECIALS page for the MAY specials I have this month.  Also, take a look at the $75 Scrapbook Starter Kit.  This is an amazing DEAL and you don’t want to miss out on it.  If you are interested in the slightest about joining my team, check out the JOIN MY TEAM page for more information!  I support many demonstrators all across the United States and overseas. I have a GREAT team that you will find supportive, talented and fun.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact me! I have a special gift for anyone that signs up in May!

Also, I finally posted my NEW Class To Go! This was a fantastic class that I held in April.  If you love the Fifth Ave stamp set, you will love this box and 4 cards tutorial.
