I had an entire pack of the Big Top Birthday DSP #122348.  I started by making different sizes of pinwheels.  6 x 6, 4.5 x 4.5 and then the smallest one I made was 4 x 4.  Of course any size you make is going to work fine, these are sizes I decided to try myself.  Once I cut my paper to the desired size I used this pattern below to make the pinwheel patterns.  Keep in mind I used "almost" the entire pack of DSP.  It's retiring, I wanted to make GOOD use of it.

I bought a Styrofoam Wreath at my local craft shop and started making the pinwheels on the wreath by using stick pins. This way I figured the pinwheels were not going anywhere.  I continued to do this until my wreath was complete.  Here is my completed project:

Just as simple as that.  I encourage you to make one.  They are simple and it's one way to use your supplies and enjoy a nice summer wreath in your home.

I used all kinds of new products on this little guy.  I used the Papaya Collage stamp set with Pool Party ink.  You can see I added a small piece of Vellum across the front of the box too.  I also used our new Apothecary Accents Framelits with a Glass button.  Super pretty and delicate looking. 

On the inside there are three cards.  All 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 in size. 

Each card is just slightly different than the other.  I used Vellum on all three cards and then embossed the vellum on each using the Fancy Fan Folder.  I used the stamp set World Treasures for the greeting on each.  There is a little sewing on two of the cards but it's not over the top.  Just a wee bit.   I love these colors together… Soft Suede, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and a tad of Whisper White.

This month my club members made this simple Matchbook Cover.  This idea came pretty easy this month from my Magazine I get as a Demonstrator once a month- Stampin' Success.  I love my magazine even more these days because they changed it up and they show beautiful projects and directions to make them.  The samples they had were beautiful.  I wanted to showcase one of my favorite sets retiring and I thought the Styled Beautiful stamp set was perfect.  This little gem would brighten any person's day as it has Sticky Notes inside. 

I used the Wisteria Textured Cardstock for the base of the project and then worked in Daffodil Delight.  I'm not much for the color purple but Wisteria is a such a soft beautiful purple that I love.  The Daffodil has become a color that I use quite frequently as well. Again, it's a soft yellow.  It doesn't blind you.   I used the Flirtatious Designer Series Paper on this project.  This paper is being discontinued.  You can find it HERE.  Here is a look of all the papers:

This paper is bright and cheerful and comes with Doilies that you can cut out and add to any project.  SUPER fun. 

I did tweak this project a little on the measurements to get more bang for my buck.  The directions said to cut a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock at 11 1/2  x 6 1/4.  Instead, I cut my cardstock to 11 1/2 x 6.  This way I was able to get 2 Matchbooks from one piece of my textured cardstock.  The only change this made was my matchbook was a little shorter.  No biggie. Once you have your paper trimmed, score along the long edge at 4 1/4, 4 1/2 and 9 1/2.  Fold on all your scores and put your matchbook together.  It's super simple and fun.

When this die cut arrived at my house the first person to SQUEAL with delight was the one and only American Girl Doll Lover…. Alexis.  You could hear that child scream for miles.  She was so excited that she could make ANY kind of Purse for her American Girl Dolls.  Stampin' Up! had no idea they made a little 9 year old so stinkin' happy.  This die cut is just too cute.  It's great for any party favor.  When I was in Michigan a few weeks ago one of our team members, Dawn showed us her darling purses that she had made and she used our Stampin' Up! fabric.  I thought she was a genius.  I loved how the fabric made the purse look more "real" so to speak.  My stamp club made these darling purses and loved how quick and easy they are to put together.  We took the Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets and adhered the fabric to them before placing it on the Big Shot.   I used a piece of cardstock on the front flap to make the purse a little stronger and I wanted to stamp on the front just a wee bit.  We then just added a few ribbon embellishments to make this purse a little fluffy and girlie. We used the Styled Beautiful stamp on the front flap as it was just enough to add a little stamping touch to it.  Lastly, a little Antique Brad topped it off. You will be able to order this new die on June 1st.  It's SUPER exciting. 

Now Alexis has her first American Girl Doll purse.  I'm sure this won't be the last.

You can find the Blossom Builders on page 18 of the Mini Occasions Catalog.  These beautiful die cut flowers have great texture to them and are easy for you to create many beautiful cards and 3-D projects.  One of my favorite things included with this kit is the pink Rhinestones.  They are just the perfect touch.  They are self adhesive and fun to add to any project. The class participants each received a set of Hat Pins and the Blossom Builders kit to work with during the class. 

Since I have my Stampin' hat on I want to remind you about the My Digital Studio Free Trial that you can download for 30 days.  This is a fantastic digital program.  I played around with the trial version a few weeks ago (I have the full digital program) so I could see what exactly you were getting and create with it.  Here is a layout I created just from the trial version. The good news is I've worked the last month on getting affairs in order to get back to teaching classes, workshops and adding more events to my schedule.  It's only when I started adding more events that our lives seemed to get busier.  It's natural and I expected it.  Whenever I make new goals for my business I always expect to jump LARGE obstacles to get to that goal.  I didn't realize these would be HUGE logs I would be jumping over. Ha. Let the jumping begin.  *grin*

Before I share many projects with you I have to tell you about a funny and a good deal the Prince and I landed recently.  One of our goals when he came home was to do something with our dining room.  It was bare bones.  Not a stitch of anything in it.  We didn't want to use it as a dining room but rather a sitting room or piano room.  Russ started the renovation of the room with putting new wood floors in. Then I asked for new paint on the walls.  He said this was starting to sound like a new outfit. First the dress, then the shoes… and then the accessories.  The accessories are the BEST part, right?   This is when the REAL fun has begun.  We started looking for piano's on Craigslist and estate sales. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a used piano.  We were so excited when we found a Player Piano on Craigslist. We were excited until the whole thing became a disaster.  The story is forever long so I won't bore you with it.  Let's just say it took 4 weeks to get it after the owner hijacked it. It took  a very large truck, $500 more than we planned, and a car was side swiped as Russ was backing the truck into our driveway. Uh huh. All that trouble and we have a 1929 really OLD working Player Piano.  Russ said I was lucky it was not on fire in our front yard.  <giggle>  It has become a great conversation piece and was 100% worth all the pain after we put the first Piano Roll on.  The kids faces were priceless.  We still need to get it tuned and then we are going to start a few lessons.  Yes, NO ONE in this house knows how to play. Kinda funny, eh?

I was also on the hunt for a Fainting Couch for the room and I am happy to say I found one.  I'll share soon.  I better share some creative fun before I really start to bore  you.  I've been excited to share this with you.  I'll share the entire creative process of the room once it's all complete. 

I've been a STAMPING fool late at night.  I have so many fun things to share.  Bare with me as I share a few Valentine pieces with you.  That holiday just whipped right by me.  Dang!  My first card is a case from Shelli at Leadership.  I didn't put all her bells and whistles on the inside because this was a card my great club ladies completed.  I just love the color combo and the sweet hearts. 

I love this sweet box because it uses the Fancy Favor Box and the inside box is hand made.  This is a great box to put a few goodies inside for a special someone.

This last project uses the little note cards.  Just a sweet little note with a few buttons and do-dads! 

Phew! That was a mouthful of news.  I hope you had a GREAT Presidents weekend.  This week is BIG for our family.  Brandon crosses over to Boy Scouts tomorrow.  We are super excited for him.  We also have a big Girl Scout and Boy Scout event this coming weekend.  I'm hoping everything comes together.  I'm a little stressed.  Once this week is through I'll be able to catch my breath.

We've also been busy with Scouts.  I'm so thankful the kids enjoy their Scout activities.  Brandon had a big camping trip while Russ was home.  Seriously, thank GOD Russ was able to go. I'm not the girl who loves to camp. I went to visit them at the campsite and in just 20 minutes I was there a HUGE (okay, GIGANTIC) daddy long leg was on my face.  I am sure every person heard me scream at the campsite.  I had a complete hissy fit! Not my cup of tea at all!! My Brownie Troop will be camping in the cabins, with TOILETS and electricity. 

Here is my boy whittling with his pocket knife Russ gave to him for his birthday.  It was a BIG deal!

He was filthy dirty but he had clean underwear on thanks to Mom visiting the campsite!

With all that being said, there is always time for me to stamp.    It's just a way of life, isn't it?

This is a Thanksgiving Blessing Box-

This is a project that my club made last month.  I made this project last year with club members and I love this project as a gift for Thanksgiving.  Here is a closer look:

This is such an easy project and you can make lots in no time at all.  Just ask my friend Denise.  We cranked out 41 of these things last week.  (Thanks Denise for helping!)

Start out with a 4 x 10 1/2 piece of cardstock.  Score at 4, 8 and 9 3/4.  This creates the outer box for the project.  Let me show you the inside. 

As you can see I've attached the Thanksgiving Blessing Mix recipe on the inside of the box.  The goodies are placed in one of our small Cello Bags and stapled shut.  Then just attach this to the inside of the box using Sticky Strip.  Easy enough.

For the front of the box I used the Fall Harvest Wheel using VersaMark ink.  I then took a sponge and my Pastels and colored the wheel with Fall coordinating colors.

Tonight's share is a fun Halloween Banner that Denise and I cooked up last week. We were like two little girls! We were giggling the more we added to the banner and once the banner was complete we had an extra skip when we walked. It was just exciting. I've tried to create a banner for each season or occasion.  You can see more of my banners HERE and HERE.

Let me just warn you that the banner uses LOTS of products. There is a retired piece of DSP and a NEW product that won't be available until the after January. Oh BOY!

The goal for me was to add lots of texture and layers.  I love how the fabric is one GREAT way to add texture. My glue gun was used LOTS on this project.  Wanna know something… My Glue Gun has seen more use in the past 3 weeks than in the last 4 years.  I've almost gone through an entire bag of Glue Sticks.  LOL!  I love this little gadget. Do you use your Glue Gun? I  think Stampin' Up! should come out with their own.  Don't you?

It's time for my face to meet my pillow.  I have a BIG day tomorrow. My parents will be here tomorrow afternoon.  This is so awesome.  The kids are over the moon with excitement.  They are in for a ton of excitement this month. (I'll explain a little later.) I still have a little cleaning to get done.  I can't have visible dust bunnies laying around.  CRAZY!

As I said the other day I would have a tutorial ready for you on how to make the Halloween Tree Decorations. I am so excited that day is TODAY! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to stamp and every year I add a few new decorations to my tree and my Halloween display.  Let me share my Halloween display as well as the tree.

What's fun about this display is the many memories that go along with the items made.  So many of these fun decorations were made sitting with friends or even a class that I have taught. Every year it's a joy to pull out each decoration and put it on the display. What's better is adding more decorations.  My display consists of a Bakers Rack that I change out every season. There is another project on my display I cannot wait to show you. It's a banner that I made with my friend Denise.  We had so much fun creating it.  I'll share much closer pics soon.

We had to take our doggie to the Vet tonight too.  I have a little 4lb Chihuahua and she has been itching herself to death.  We took her in and we have medicine to help her.  We were there for 2.5 hours.  Good Grief!!

Now it's 11pm and I'm just starting to work a bit in my office.  Oh no.  LOL! It's not like this hasn't happened before, but I'm pretty pooped from the excitement of the day. I'm excited to share a new Halloween treat with you. 

If you have been following my blog for a bit you know I have a Halloween tree and I love to decorate it each year. Last year we made the pretty cones with ribbon.  This year we took a little different approach and I really like them.  Let me share.
