Afternoon Picnic Anyone?

Happy 4th of July!

An afternoon picnic sounds fantastic doesn't it? Relax and recharge while resting on a blanket with a cool breeze running over my face eating fresh strawberries….

Okay, back to reality.  It's been raining, humid and there hasn't been time for a fun picnic.  In fact my kids had to eat cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday.  It's truth when you are gearing up for a big move.  We need to eat everything in the pantry before the big move date.

It's been another crazy week but the good news so much has been accomplished.  Today I will be doing a little relaxing  to celebrate the 4th of July.  The big celebration … our house is now rented.  SO exciting.  Second, I've been getting ready for my big craft sale.  I started the sale tonight and happy to see new people enjoy my stamps, ink and paper.

This morning I knew the day would be NUTS so I set out to create a card before the gems woke up.  This is a new routine for me.  I never (NEVER) create this early in the morning.   My  brain doesn't function like that.  I was worried the card wouldn't be straight but I am tickeld pink the way it came out.  I guess with enough coffee anything is possible.

Afternoon Picnic, Best of Shelli

The focal image on this card use to be one of my FAVORITE images ever.  The one in the Best of Shelli stamp set is a little smaller which I love.

Best of Shelli, Afternoon Picnic

The Afternoon Picnic DSP is another favorite becasue I love the colors in this pack.  You will notice the designs look familar from our last seasonal mini catalog.  The colors have changed and I love how the Coastal Cabana really pops in the DSP.  Remember our Best of stamp sets are part of the 25th Anniversary promotion from Stampin' Up!  Make sure you are keeping your collectors card updated.  If you do not have one click HERE.

  1. Very pretty card. YAY, Congratulations on renting your house. Hope the packing and move goes smooth.

  2. Kimberly, so Happy you rented the house…..now the fun starts huh? God bless you all as you ready to move……

  3. Deb, it’s truly a blessing.  This is one thing off our back and now we can press forward with working on getting the house ready for the big moving day.  I can imagine what I will look like at convention. Cray-Cray!!

  4. Girl, I never create in the morning but find that is the only time and the funniest thing is I am doing it in between picking up my kids from swim practice and they never have practice at the same time.  So I create a little, run and taxi. Come back, work a little more and the card is never finished until about 11:00am.  It’s the craziest schedule right now.  It will get better but it has my brain working too hard right now. LOL.  XOXO
