I'm finishing the last of my convention creations.  Isn't this a cute set?

I love this set and most of all love the words in it.  I can use this set for so many things.  Maybe if I'm having a blah day I can make my own ribbon. My dad said the other day I like getting ribbons. Bwhahahaha! Must be my personality.   I added the friend sentiment from the Family Reunion stamp set.  I think I'll make Brandon one for when he comes home from Camp.  I heard yesterday that he is doing fine but a little home sick.  I didn't get to talk to him and it's probably best.  I did get an email that some of the boys had bought pocket knives at the camp store.  The funniest part of the email is it said, "Brandon V. would like his mom to know that he purchased a pocket knife."  LOL.  None of the other boys told their mama's. I guess Brandon felt I needed to know.  I love that boy.  They are going to get storms tonight. I could be setting myself up for a worrisome night.  Just one more day.  It's been the LONGEST week!!

Below you will see the products I used:

Stamps: Blue Ribbon, Family Reunion

Ink: Island Indigo, More Mustard, Soft Suede

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla,

Accessories: Victoria Lace, Vintage Trinkets, Fan Fair DSP, World Spectacular DSP, Pennant Punch, Large Scallop punch, dimensionals.

You can find all these goodies in my Online Store.

Hope you have a Blue Ribbon type of day!!

XOXOXO

This Too Shall Pass!

I want to share another card I made for a few friends at Convention.  As you know I'm a big fan of the From My Heart (126557) stamp set.  So many great things you can do with it and I think I've used EVERY image in the set now.  WOW.  Don't you love it when you give a stamp set a lot of loving?  My favorite part is when I look at the rubber and see that it's REALLY used.  {LOVE}! You will get your money's worth with this stamp set.

For this card I used the Etruscan Elegance Jumbo wheel at the top.  This will be available August 1st.  Are you getting excited?

*I embossed using the wheel and Pewter Embossing Powder.

*Next I added a few layers by first starting with a piece of Summer Starfruit cardstock, then I used vellum and embossed with the Fancy Fan Folder.

*I cut banners from the Fan Fair DSP and placed them on top of two layers of ribbon (Victoria Lace and Stitched Satin Summer Starfruit) and sewed them onto my cardstock layers in a zig zag fashion.

* I stamped the From My Heart image using Early Espresso ink and die cut using my Labels Framelits Die Cut.  I sponged around the edges lightly. I adhered this using dimensionals.

*I added a Brushed Bronze Designer Button (Holiday Mini item) tied with Linen thread.

*The last thing I added, my spritzer tool using Early Espresso ink.

Believe it or not, sewing on your cards is not hard and it's great if you want a small banner to stay in place.

Here is a list of supplies I used:

Stamps: From the Heart

Cardstock: Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Vellum

Ink; Early Espresso Ink, VersaMark,

Accessories: Spritzer Tool, Labels Framelits, Brushed Bronze Designer Button, Pewter Embossing Powder, Victoria Lace, Summer Starfruit satin stitched ribbon, Etruscan Elegance, Linen Thread,Fancy Fan Folder

Hope your Wednesday is filled with lots of C-R-E-A-T-I-V-I-T-Y!

My Digital Studio-New Downloads

It's Digital Tuesday.  You can check out the new digital downloads HERE. MDS 2 will be here in just a week.  The new software is unbelievable and you are going to love it.  I'm working with it currently and finding all the new bells and whistles so I can share them with you.

Today I have two items to share.  First a digital layout from my Disney Album:

This layout used the (#130078) AHOY, MATEY ENSEMBLEYou may remember when we had this as a kit to purchase a few years ago.  This is a great download to use for little boy birthday parties and then make an album of the fun party.  You know with my love for Johnny I had to have it. <sigh>

Next up is another swap card.

*Start this card with Very Vanilla cardstock.  Using the Basic Black Craft pad, roll the Etruscan Elegance Jumbo Wheel in the center of the card.  Pour Clear Embossing Powder over it and heat.

*Stamp the Fence using Basic Black Craft Pad and pour Clear embossing powder over and heat. Use the Labels Collection Framelits Die on page 191 to die cut.

*Emboss the Trick or Treat sentiment the same way as previous onto Tangerine Tango cardstock and make a banner to go across the fence.  Adhere this using an Antique Brad.

*Cut three strips of Howlstooth & Scaringbone (also available as an MDS download) DSP and make them into banners.  Hang from the top of the Very Vanilla cardstock.  Adhere the Embossed Label Framelit using dimensionals. Round the bottom right corner.

Although embossing takes a little more time it's always a WOW factor on any card you use it on.

I hope you are having a spectacular day.

Are you a member of my Facebook Fan page? I just uploaded over 300+ photos from convention.  I still have more.  Scroll down and look to the left of your screen and click on my Stampin' by the Sea Facebook page for lots of news, sneak peeks and more interaction from me.  :)

Say Cheese!

Kimberly Van Diepen Stampin' Up! Demo

Kimberly Van Diepen Stampin' Up Demo

Do you have a Reason to Smile today? After a crazy Sunday I have to say that I'm feeling pretty darn blessed today.  My mom had a few chest pains and blurred vision yesterday and that landed her in an overnight stay at the hospital.  All is well right now and all the tests came back okay.  She almost gave me a heart attack!  She is now on her way home to rest and will be following up with Doctors this week to see exactly what's going on.  She had red carpet care and was treated like a QUEEN.  Only thing that could be better is if I was at her side.

Despite this little set back, I do have many Reason's to Smile.  This card is one of them.  This is one of my swaps I made at Convention.  I used the stamp set called, Reason to Smile.  This is a current special with Stampin' Up! that goes until the end of this month.  You can read all about it HERE.

Here is the stamp set-

It can be ALL yours for $5 with your $50 order placed.  Now that's something to smile about. ;)

For this particular card I stamped the solid flower in Summer Starfruit (FAVORITE COLOR) and then stamped the lined flower image using Raspberry Ripple.  I then took a sponge dauber with More Mustard ink and sponged around the center of the flower to make it stand out just a tad bit more.

The sentiment came from the stamp set Kindness Matters

I also used the new Travel Journal builder wheel.
