Hollywood Bound!

We spent the day at Hollywood Studios and the kids had a blast!! We started the day pretty early. We decided that it would be best to split up so Russ took Alexis on the fast and furious rides while Brandon and I shopped and rode the tame rides. It was perfect. Here are a few pics of our day…

The kids love coming back to the room at night to see the fun stuff!
We decided to have dinner at Epcot and visited Mexico. Great food and more fun. We thought the kids would be pooped out after that… Oh NO! We were in the pool at 10 pm. The favorite thing for the kids has been swimming with ducks. So silly!! Tomorrow we will visit Magic Kingdom!! I’ll post tonight’s fun goodies in the morning. Even Russ got a cool gift!!

XOXO

Just for You- Hybrid Project

Kimberly Van Diepen Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Simple, Simple, Simple.  Do you love a simple project? Oh my word.  I love it when I can make a simple project and it's pretty.  My Stamps in the Mail participants are working with the Tea Shoppe stamp set.  This is one of their bonus projects I showed them how to make this month.  It's a simple tag made using My Digital Studio.  I used the Tea Time 2 DSP Digital download and cropped the paper inside my tag to show the areas that I wanted.  I used the Taffeta Trimmings Ripple ribbon on the bottom and added a little shadow so it looks 3 dimensional.  I love that shadow button in the MDS program.  The best part about this stamp set being digital is that you can make your tea cups ANY size you need.  They can be super tiny or really big unlike your actual stamp set.

To make this little project, I simply filled the cello bag (this one is being discontinued BTW) with a goodie and cut my bag topper using the Label Framelit Die Cut.  I folded that over the cello bag and stapled my tag underneath.  I added a piece of the Satin ribbon around the topper to hide the staple.  Very Simple. I added a Pearl to the Tea Cup and my project was finished.  I was able to make 10 of these fast and easy yesterday and gave each of my stamp club members one of these as a Thank You for putting up with me.  <smile>

Are you ready to jump out of your comfort zone and try My Digital Studio? You can always download the trial version and give it a whirl.  You can see if you like LOVE the program for 30 days FREE.  Check it out HERE

Have a GREAT day!!

Use Your Supplies!

Confession time! A month or so (could be longer..) I held a class called "Card Buffet."  It was a class where I had about 20 cards on display and my customers could make any 5 cards from the designs I had displayed.  I loved this class but at the end of it I noticed I had a few  LOT of kits left over.  The cardstock is already cut and ready to go, I just needed to get busy and stamp.  For the most part this is not an issue because I just make up the rest of the cards and it leaves me a ton of cards that I can send out myself (which by the way I am SOOOOO behind on!!!)  Anyways, one of the cards I had leftovers for was an Easter card.  Remember this one?

Since Easter has passed I didn't want to make more Easter cards so I took the pre-cut cardstock and challenged myself to come up with a different card.  Here is what I came up with.

I chose the exact same design, just a different stamp set. I love the stamp set Send Me Soaring.  It's in the Occasions Mini Catalog and it's one of those stamps that you can color, paper piece, or just do solid stamping with. I love the sentiments too because it covers many things.  The clouds are cute as can be!!! I love the crisp lines that this set has. Check it out:

You can even get this set in Digital Form.  I REALLY love that.

Overall, my point is this… Make the most of your supplies.  Do you have pre cut cardstock, DSP or pre cut ribbon laying around? Challenge yourself and make a card. For me the biggest challenge is putting a stamp on the envelope and SENDING the card.  Anyone up for the challenge? I would love to see your creations. I am going to challenge myself to send out 5 cards tomorrow. WOW!!

You can find all of these great supplies in my Online Store. Don't forget to check out the Retired Lists. Items are going FAST! If you love 12 x 12 Textured Cardstock, stock up.  If you love Craft ink (LOVE, LOVE it!!) stock up. Craft ink is being discontinued expect for Black and White.

Have a GREAT FRIDAY!

P.S. I have two kids that are OVER the TOP excited as we leave in a few days for Disney.  Alexis can barely contain herself.  Seriously she cannot focus on anything!  She is SO excited to see a friend that she has been pen paling with and just cannot believe she is going to Disney.  We are thankful for Stampin' Up!, my customers and downline who make things like this trip even possible.  I am looking forward to spending time with my family watching my kids relax and have fun.  They deserve it.

I will be posting while I am away.  In fact…. I've already posted ahead of schedule.  I know you just FAINTED!  I'm NEVER this organized.  I plan to share our trip with you if you don't mind.  You know it's always an adventure when I travel.

Thank you for always supporting me, my business and my family.  Sending 1000 hugs and kisses to YOU my awesome readers!

Boy this was a shocker to see this stamp set go.  I love the images in this set.  Don't you? Here is a look at all the images:

Are you looking at the DSP on my card and asking yourself what is that? Oh good grief.  I thought I did a CLEAN sweep last year with the Retired stuff. LOL.  Nope. I thought this paper was still current and it's SO NOT.  It's the Greenhouse Gala DSP.  There is good news to this story though.  If you love it you can still get it.  It's just going to be in Digital format and you can print it on your printer.  You can even print it ANY size you want.  Kinda cool, huh?

You can purchase the Digital paper in my Digital Store HERE

Here is the paper:

I also used the First Edition DSP on this card.  I just tore a strip and placed it behind my Early Espresso cardstock strip.  I like the way that turned out.  I stamped the main image using Baja Breeze Craft ink.  I love Craft ink and I love how it looks on Crumb Cake cardstock.

You can find all the products I used below.  The big QUESTION of the day is what stamp set are you freaking out because it's retiring? Anything?

Products Used:

Stamps: Friends Never Fade

Cardstock: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist

Inks: Baja Breeze Craft

Accessories: Pennant Die Cut, First Edition DSP, Greenhouse Gala RETIRED DSP, Pearls, Baja Breeze Pleated Ribbon, 2 1/2 Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, 13/4" Circle punch, Vintage Trinkets, Subtles Buttons, Linen Thread

Have a FANTASTIC day! Create something fantastic.
