They are Just so Delicate

I love the NEW Glassine Envelopes & Bags that Stampin' Up! has come out with in the upcoming catalog.  They are so delicate looking.  These transparent envelopes can be used for so many fun projects.  I wanted to create a few delicate note cards to give to my friends.  I used the Sending Love Notes "Hugs" inside the envelopes.  They were more than perfect.  These will also be perfect for Valentines projects I can use for the kids.  SO fun.

Check these out…

This little delicate piece uses the stamp sets Well Scripted and I {Heart} Hearts.  All flat stamping with just a button added.  Quite simple.

This one uses the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and Tiny Tags.  I also used the new heart punch for a little added texture on the simple note card.  Again, another simple piece.

I hope this is getting you excited for new products to come.  They are all amazing.

Tomorrow we will share another great day with my family.  It's a day of movies and food.  I have seen so many movies already.  This is the only time of year when I get the chance to catch up on my movies.  I squeaked in a few soaps too.  Ahhh… the little things that excite me.

Foxy Lady

No, I am not talking about myself.  Hee Hee.  How about the stamp set Fox and Friends?  I've been holding out on all the new fun products since the first week of December.  I've been playing with them and they are more than amazing.  I love when a new Mini Catalog comes out.  It always brings excitement to my business at a time I need it.  Don't get me wrong, 99% of the time I am excited about everything.  New products just give my belly butterflies.  This Mini Catalog gave me more than butterflies.  There is a transistion in this Mini Catalog that you are sure to enjoy.  Clear mount stamps.  When I received my stamp sets I was a little timid to use them.  In fact, I have to admit that I called Stampin' Up! to ask how to mount them although the instructions were in front of me. Oh jeeze, call me stupid… it was really simple.  If I had read the instructions it was all easy.  <smile>. Now a few weeks later, I want to share a few samples I have created.  I will be sharing sneak peek samples up to the day of the launch of the catalog.  I think you are going to love these products.

I used the Fox and Friends Stamp set and the Itty Bitty Box and Envelope Die Cut.  I used Kraft cardstock to make the box.  Once the box was together I embellished the front of the box with just a few simple elements.  I used Brocade Blue Craft Ink to stamp the whale and the sentiment comes from the Stamp Set Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  The scallop edge punch is a new punch from the SAB catalog.  Oh, such cute stamps and accessories in this catalog.  I then added my favorite embellishment, a button and Linen Thread.  Easy Peasy!

For all of the little cards (they measure about 2 x 2) I used Kraft cardstock and the scallop punch again.  Super easy and cute.  Each card has a different animal.  Ironically, the only animal I didn't stamp was the fox.  Call me crazy!  I used all Craft inks on the cards.  I love Craft ink because the colors are muted and soft.  I think this stamp set is just adorable.  Even if you do not have children, it will make a fun stamp set for your collection.  We all have those.

I wanted to add a special note to my previous post the other day about our big move.  First, thank you for following this blog of mine.  Second, I wish I could hug each of you.  You always tell me how much I inspire you, but really you inspire me.  I appreciate your kind words towards my family.  I know the next 5 months will not be easy but I have gone through worse.  These are the things that make me stronger.  If you can endure me telling you that I miss Russ, it will all be good.

I hope the rest of your week is fantabulous.

Celebrating 3 years!

Three years ago I started my blog.  It was started to keep me sane during our last move and to keep all my dear customers inspired along my stamping journey! Today, I took a trip back to December 2006 to refresh my memories of that journey.  Seemed fitting for a Navy wife since three years is typical for a Navy family to move again.  I wanted to remind myself of our last journey since we will be making another journey soon enough.  Russ received orders to Washington, D.C.  and reports there in just a few weeks.  After much discussion and debate, Russ and I decided that the kids and I would stay put until the end of the school year and and then join him for the next adventure.  Decisions like this are never easy and many tears shed as I hate to keep are family apart.  However, I believe the kids are in the best place this school year and they are doing so well.  Don't get me wrong, I know the kids would do fine moving.  I also know they will do great finishing out the school year with their current teachers who I just adore.  This also gives me 5 months or so to figure out how I say good bye once again to some of the most fascinating people.  So many friends have been made in the three short years we have been in Colorado.  I have to admit a part of me is in TRUE denial that I even have to leave.  The thought makes my stomach hurt and brings me back to the day we moved in.  If you have read through this blog you would remember that I wasn't happy on that day.  I wondered how in the world I would ever survive it there.  My stamping adventure in Colorado has truly been the best yet.  It's the longest place I've ever had my business at one time.  It's the place where I have taught the most people.  Really GREAT people.  So, with that all being said…. I celebrate three great years having this blog.  I celebrate all my friends in Colorado that I plan to teach for another 5 months.  It will be 5 GREAT months of CeLeBrAtIoN!

Speaking of celebrating, my sweet friend is getting ready to have a baby.  This baby is a miracle.  She had a terrible time getting pregnant and after many tests and trips to the doctor, she finally conceived.  Hence what I call the… miracle baby.  This sweet baby will be born in February.  Since I am down here in Florida I am unable to attend her baby shower.  Before I left I made a special gift for her I want to share.

This is also a sneak peek of what's to come in the new Mini Catalog.  Whoo Hoo!  I used a stamp set called Fox & Friends.  There are 7 different animals that I just love.  This card also uses a new punch from the Mini Catalog and the Sale a Bration catalog.  Yippie.  Anyway, I made a few simple hand made Thank You cards that she can use after the baby is born.  The buttons I used are actually OLD, OLD, OLD vintage buttons from my husbands grandmother.  Very special buttons to me. I wanted the cards to be simple, elegant and a hint of vintage.  I think I created that look.

I hope your Sunday afternoon is the best.  I am off to finish getting my Christmas cards finished.  I know, I know!  Better late than never, right?

Time to Scrap a Page!

Good evening!  I hope your Christmas was super amazing!  Our family enjoyed a great Christmas just being together.  The kids loved all their gifts and the food was awesome.  Way too many desserts around.  I just grazed all day long.

Anyhoo, I want to share a layout we did at my last Scrap Club.

This layout has sooooooo many elements to it. Lots of die cuts, embellishments and just a little bit of stamping.  I used the Sizzix Die Cut Circles #2, Table Setting Die Cut, and my favorite Alphabet Die Cut set.  I love adding the buttons and the pearls.  Just lots of fun treasures on the page.  Hope you like it as well.

I'm off to watch a movie.  Yippie!

The Ship Landed!

We landed safely in Florida and the humidity was the first thing I felt.  My hair went completely flat once I got off the plane. Not pretty!!!  Who could really care when my kids sprinted to Nene's arms.  Quite a scene.  We had a day filled with Gingerbread houses and Gingerbread peeps.  They decorated them so nicely…

I cannot believe it's been a year since I have been home.  It's so great to see my family.  My brother is here and it was so great to be with his little family.  My 4 year old niece taught me ballet tonight.  My sweet brother took video.  I may have to upload it just to give you a laugh of the century.  The worst part was my niece telling me that I wasn't so good.  So funny.

Anyways, I have another fun video to share with you.  This is another club project we did last month.  With so many of my friends getting sick recently, I thought this little project would be fun to make them.  Sadly, they are all better now and never received it.  Just another story of a Stampin' Up! demonstrator hard at work.  LOL!  Let me share…

This little 3-D project holds a few tissues and a tea bag which is just perfect for someone with a cold.  I love how the stamp set Friends 24-7 is perfect for any occassion. I also love how Ruby Red, Blush Blossom, Soft Suede and Kraft cardstock is just YUMMY!!!  So pretty! Ready to make this project?  Watch the video here:

I have a few last minute Christmas shopping ideas to finish tomorrow.  Oy boy.  Looks like I will be braving the streets tomorrow.  Ack.  I will keep the Christmas spirit and keep a big ole' smile on my face.  Hope you have a sensational week.
