Archive for November, 2009:

A dear friend of mine recently lost her Father in Law and I wanted her to know she was in my thougts. I used a few different stamp sets for this card. I always pull out my Friends 24-7. It goes with everything! Thoughts and Prayers is one of my favorite Get Well/Sympathy sets. The images are beautiful. The last set I used was Happy Together. It's that cute bird! Oh the BIRDS! They get me every time. Overall the card is simple, but I just wanted my friend to know I love her and thinking of her during this rough time.
I've had lots of emails about the tiles. If you have tile questions, go to this post http://stampinbythesea.com/tile-questions and I think it will answer a lot of your questions. I am so sorry I cannot answer all the emails right away… but I have a BIG stamp a stack tomorrow and of course I am NOT ready. <big smile>!

A Season of Tiles
Not only was I busy getting ready for our big Halloween Day, I was busy getting ready for a FABULOUS tile class I held here on Friday night. It was a packed house and we went through 40 tiles. WOWser! These tiles are super spectacular for Holiday gifts! Here are the ones we made:
The first tile uses the Medallion, Embrace Life, French Filigree and Charming Stamp set. I used Tempting Turquoise Craft ink and Soft Suede classic ink for the tag. The Fall tile uses the Autumn Splendor and En Francias stamp set. I used Really Rust, Ruby Red and More Mustard Craft ink for this tile. So pretty. For the tag, I used the sentiment from the Season of Friendship stamp set. I also used the Leaf Sizzix Die Cut. I love this die cut during the Fall. Makes beautiful leaves. The next tile uses a stamp set we all love, Inspired by Nature. Great Set! Perfect for Tiles. This uses Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red and Regal Rose Craft inks. The tag uses the sentiment from the stamp set and a Chocolate Chip corduroy button. The small flower comes from the die cut Blossom Party, a Stampin' Up! exclusive. So cute! The last tile is my Winter tile. I used the Beautiful Serene Snowflakes stamp set using Night of Navy, Brocade Blue craft ink and Silver Encore pad. Loved these colors together. The Night of Navy almost looks black. Very striking. Are you ready to make your Season of Tiles? All you need to get started are a few tiles, Glassy Glaze Enamel (100477) and Craft ink.
