Oh Mr. Penguin!
So here is a little fact about myself you may not have known! I love Penguins! I think they are just so stinkin’ cute. Every time I go to the zoo one of my favorite places to go to are the penguins. I love to watch them swim. When the new Holiday Mini came out the Cold & Cuddly (116523) set caught my eye right away. It was a must have in my book. I love that chubby little penguin. Here is a card I made using this set!

I used the Jolly Stampin’ Around wheel (112479) on the Bashful Blue cardstock. There are actually a few layers of the Bashful Blue cardstock on top of each other to give it more dimension. Then I used an aqua painter to wet the paper and loosen the fibers on the cardstock. Then I rolled the paper down using my fingers. Viola! A cute Penguin card. So fun!
Time to teach a class. Have a FABULOUS evening! I hope to catch you tomorrow with lots more cute stuff going on in this stamp room of mine!!!

Going home!
I’m sitting at the airport this morning just waiting to go home and see my family! I can’t wait. I’ve had the best week with all my stamping friends and a fabulous time with the Advisory Board and Corporate team at Stampin’ Up! the last couple of days at the home office. This trip almost felt like a dream. I needed to pinch myself a few times. I loved seeing so many of the staff members and my SAM. Was able to see my old SAM, Rett who always amazes me with the love and dedication he has for demonstrators. It really was the best time. I want to share more photos of my trip in St. George. I miss these friends already.

This picture was taken the last night at Founders. We went to a beautiful place called The Ledges. The dinner was awesome and the company priceless. Founders is always so intimate and a great way to get to know so many amazing demonstrators. There were so many others that I wanted to connect with and time just runs out. Such a bummer. This is a special picture with Shelli!

These two beauties above are Jackie and Tamye! Full of smiles. Love this picture!!!

I call this picture 1-2-3! That is Joanne Weimers, Dawn Rapsas and me. Love these ladies!!

Somehow Lisa and I always manage to get a cheek to cheek picture in. We just like having fun! I think Lisa got a few more hours by the pool than I did???? How did that happen?

This was the night of our PJ party. If you look closely at all these girls (Dawn Rapsas, Lisa Freeman, Christy Schroeger and Dawn Griffith) you will see sparkly faces. We were helping Dawn R finish her swaps and we all looked as if we bathed in Dazzling Diamonds. I have never sparkled so much. The good news was that the swaps were completed. <smile>

My great friend Jackie Bolhuis and I saying cheese!

More PJ party pics. Can you read the happiness on these ladies faces? It makes me smile!

Here is my sweet friend Heather Summers! Sweet she is and pregnant. She looked so great and so ready to have this sweet baby soon!!! Not much longer Heather!
I have many more snipits I will sharelater. I need to download my pictures that we took the last couple of days with the Advisory Board. I am beyond excited to be with these ladies on the board this year. What I love the most is that many of them I didn’t know at all before Founders. In just one week I have formed everlasting friendships. <sigh> I miss them already!

Alive, Well & Happy!
This poor blog has been pretty neglected long enough. No excuse except having fun. I’ve been stamping alot, gabbing until my throat hurts and hugging so many special people over the last 4 days. Founders Circle 2009 has been fabulous. It was relaxing and a get away that was much needed. I’ve always said the best part about this business and company has been the friendships formed and that is the truth. I love being able to spend this special time with exceptional women. I learn so much from each of them.
I was lucky enough to attend with my downline Christy. She lives around the corner from me in Colorado Springs. I really enjoyed watching her reaction to all the pampering that Stampin’ Up! does at Founders Circle. It really is amazing. We had a blast together!
We flew on a little bitty plane into St. George! I shivered in my boots just thinking about getting on that plane. I knew I had Christy to hold my hand even though she said she wouldn’t. <sigh> Here she is looking ready for flight!

The first day was really a day of seeing everyone arriving. It’s so fun to watch the door for the next round of friends to come in. Since we got there pretty early we had all day to graze on the good food and good candy! I think I had lunch about 4x. shhh…. don’t tell anyone!
Our first evening together we have a nice dinner with Shelli. This dinner is always spectacular. When we walked in the room you could hear all the Oooh’s and Ahhh’s. It was beautiful. The theme this year is Blooms, Gardens and Butterflies. Very appropiate. Here are some photos of the beautiful table decorations!

So many little details! I love it.
The next day was another day of relaxing and raiding the candy jars. I attempted to do my make n takes and was so proud of myself that I completed ONE project. Stop laughing! This is a big DEAL. It’s so rare I even get this much done. <smile>
That evening we got together as a big group and had dinner. It was a great night spent with friends!

I have so many more photos to share! I plan to share over the next few days. I’m currently in Salt Lake for the Advisory Board retreat. I have butterflies in my stomach! I am so excited to be here yet a little nervous!
Lastly, a project! I know this is long overdue!

This card uses the Wandering Words stamp set from the Holiday Mini. Super cute stamp set!
Many more photos tomorrow!

Oh Pretty Snowflakes!
I’ve had some time to play with a few of my new toys lately. I wanted to share a card that has many beautiful elements that I have fallen in love with. The Holiday Mini has so many favorites in it for me.

Let’s start with the paper. I asked for ONE thing to be in the mini catalog this year and I *kinda* got my wish. I love FLOCK and they brought out this beautiful flocked designer paper. I could sit and touch it all day. I love how it feels and best yet, how it looks on creative projects. The paper is called Christmas Cocoa Specialty (116770).
I stamped the Snowflakes using the Serene Snowflakes (115438) stamp set using Soft Suede ink and then applied the Icicle Rub Ons (116804) over the stamped snowflake. The rub ons include 2 sheets: 1 sheet ea in silver and Whisper White. I loved how the Whisper White looked over the Soft Suede. For the focal point on the card I reversed what I had done on the card front and applied a Whisper White rub on to the Soft Suede cardstock then stamped a snowflake in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it out. Using a dimensional, I popped it up onto the applied rub on. It’s so three dimensional. The Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper is on the base of the card. It feels so pretty. Here in Colorado, I am sure snowflakes are in our near future. I am not ready for it, but I can stamp them.
Now to figure out what our Holiday weekend plans will be. Russ and I have a few plans up our sleeves with the kids. Time together is on tap. He spent this week in Israel and was lucky enough to see Madonna in concert. WOW! He was super excited, I was super jealous. I tried singing "Like a Virgin" on the phone and he promptly told me he had to go. Not sure if it was my singing or….. oh anyways… I was jealous.
Have a safe and fabulous weekend!

It’s so simple!
Stampin’ Up! has told us for months that the new My Digital Studio would be super easy to use and they are so right. I won’t lie when I tell you I’ve been a little worried about Digital Scrapbooking because I am a complete dummy when it comes to computers. However, tihs program is so easy to use. This program is addicting!!!! I played for about 5 minutes and whipped this page up. Seriously… 5 minutes!!!

Of course the first digi cardstock I had to play with was KRAFT and the stamp set had to be Friends 24-7. I had to stick with a few favorites. I can’t wait to play more with this program. I’m looking forward to taking this program and making some hybrid pages. The My Digital Scrapbooking will be available to our customers on Oct 1st. You won’t believe the whole thing. It really is amazing.
I’ll be back in a bit. I have a few cards I want to share today as well.
