Convention Swaps

This year I got a bit crazy and joined an organized swap that was more class oriented.  I could not believe the beautiful projects I received back.  Every last one of them was amazing and beautiful.  By looking at them you knew that these ladies spent a lot of time on them.  I understood because my own was time consuming, but fun.  Here is my project.  I think it would be perfect for any wedding.

This was my original design and by the end I had tweeked it a bit.  For the ones I swapped I had added a Whisper White Fleurettes 2 (115604) with a Whisper White Button on top of it.  Everything looked so pure and WHITE!  I used many of my favorite things on this project such as:

Friends 24-7 Stamp Set (113218)

Taffetta Ribbon (109070)

Forever Flowers Wheel (111252)

Little Leaves Sizzlits (114511)

I used the gorgeous Bride Specialty paper (115669) and the Wedding Words Rub ons (115727)!

The inside of the tins held 5 Note Cards with envelopes and (2) 3 x 3 cards!  My favorite thing on the note cards was using the Finial Press Embossing Folder! (115963).  Here are a few more pics!

I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder (115964) for the 3 x 3 cards.  I love how the Modern Label punch worked beautifully with the Love Rub On!  Stampin’ Up! really has the best punches!!

Enjoy your weekend!  I plan to catch up on a lot of work and A LOT of stamping!

I think it’s Paradise!

A few weeks ago I had a class using the Paradise stamp set.  This stamp set has beautiful images and made the class easy to design.  Here are a few samples!

I love how the new In Colors coordinate so well with each other and it made the design process so easy.  I stamped the images on Whisper White and then used VersaMark over the stamped image and applied Irridescent Ice and heated it.  It’s so glittery!  Very pretty in real life.

This card uses White Craft ink and the beatiful Lattice Die Cut.  I love that die! I will write more details about each of the cards tomorrow.  It’s way past my bedtime tongiht.

Elegance for a friend!

Independent Stampin' up! Demonstrator Kimberly Van Diepen, Colorado Springs, CO

Right before leaving for convention I made a few cards for some friends that I had not seen in a while.  Like I mentioned yesterday, convention and other Stampin’ Up! events are always a great time to see my friends from all over the place.  I used all my favorite stamps and accessories on this card.  From the Great Friend stamp set, Friends 24-7 stamp set, and the fun Pretties Kit!  It was all just fitting for my friends!

Here are a few more pics of my sweet friends from convention!

Here are a few of my downline that were with me on Awards Night.  There a few missing from the picture.  They are ALL GREAT ladies!

Here is Christy and I after she  found out she was a Rising Star!  WOW! She was pretty shocked! (I wasn’t!  I knew she worked really hard!)

Home Sweet Home

While coming home to your own bed is a wonderful thing, I have to admit that I didn’t want to leave Salt Lake City and the awesome Convention!  It was unbelievable!  I am not quite sure where to begin with all the excitement!  First, I did survive my presentation.  Thank you to ALL of you for the many prayers!  I am so grateful for the many friends that gave me encouragement.

This year I was awarded the #2 Demonstrator of the Year!!  I just can’t believe it.  Awards night was such a blur that I look back and wonder how I made it up the stairs??  I know my sweet husband helped me get there.  LOL!  After that amazing award, it got even better.  I was honored with a position on the Advisory Board.  I still can’t believe it and felt like I needed to be pinched a dozen times.  I could hear my friends and downline screaming and cheering and my cheeks hurt from all the smiling.  It was awesome.  I am so thankful for my AWESOME customers and downline for their constant support and encouragement.  These acheivements were not made without them!

Another great surprise was seeing one of my downline earn Rising Star.  She was number 9!  I was so excited for her and this big accomplishment.  She worked hard and deserved it!

Each day of convention was great and full of surprises.  I will share a few tidbits of my fun over the week!  I wanted to share the rest of the chipboard album I made last week.  This album was made for my sweet Service Account Manager (SAM) at Stampin’ Up!  She is someone that lifts me up and helps me with my business in so many ways.  I am grateful to have her!  Here is the cover of the book again….

Because it’s late I’m not going to list all the products that I used.  It was a fun book to make and I loved giving it to Maxine.  Now, let me show you what a DIVA Maxine is.  We met for dinner the first night I was there.  Check out these hot shoes and Sassy pants!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to the many demonstrators that I spoke with at convention.  I enjoyed meeting so many new friends!

There are so many exciting things coming up with Stampin’ Up! I can’t wait to share it all with you.   I’m off to my bed!  Check back tomorrow for more convention pics and a fun card I made for friends at convention!

It’s Here! It’s Here!

Hello stamping friends!  Well, the LONG awaited video is here.  You should get a real kick out of this one.  The hardest part about making videos is not laughing through the whole thing.  After 5 takes, we did it.  My sweet friend Christy helped me with the video and if you knew her she is quite the crack up too.  So the two of us together makes a really fun filming team.

The video is simple, nothing fancy!  It just shows you how I apply the stencil paste and then all the projects I have made with it.  Here is the picture of the project I am working on in the video.  It’s a special gift for convention.  I will post more details after convention once it’s complete.  This is just the front cover.
