Oh so Sticky with Sticky Cuts!

Just finished another GREAT scrap club.  Love love love these ladies.  We had the giggles tonight.  Nothing new, just new giggles.  We had a few new ladies join us tonight and hopefully we didn’t scare them with our giggles.  :)   We worked with a retiring set tongiht, Lifes a Breeze.  You may remember that I did a card with it recently.  Click HERE and you can view it!  Since Summer is officially around the corner I wanted to have Summer pages for tonight.  One of my favorite friends pulled out her Sticky Cuts the other day and I was totally inspired to wipe the dust off of mine and pull them out.  WOW what a fabulous product!  Tonight, I used them to make my Watermelon.  I had to chuckle after I made it because I thought it turned out so cute and REALLY looked like a watermelon.   Check it out!

This is super easy to make.  You need the Sticky Pages (Item # 114300) and they are only 6.95 and you get two per package and they are 12 x 12 in size.  So YOU can make tons of Watermelons! :)   To make the watermelon, cut a piece of Sticky Page to approx. 5 x 5.  Run this through your Big Shot using the Clear Circle Bigz Die Cut ( #114533).  Cut this piece in half.  Using the Oval Scallop punch, punch out your "Bite" mark in the Sticky Page.  I adhered the Sticky Page Circle onto a Whisper White Scallop Circle Sizzix Die Cut.  Tip: The Clear Circle Die cut fits PERFECTLY onto the Scallop Circle Die Cut.  Love this!  Once I adhered the Sticky Page onto the Scallop, I used the Red glitter from the FIne Galaxy Stampin’ Glitter (# 114286) and poured it over the Sticky Page.  Take a fine soft paint brush to brush off the excess Red Glitter.  Next I used Black brads from the Vintage Brad collection and placed three into my sticky cut watermelon to make the seeds.  The last thing I added was the Glorious Green cardstock for the outline of the watermelon.  I made this using my Circle Scissor.  This is another GREAT product that I am loving the MORE I use it.

I hope you enjoyed this summer page!  Don’t forget to scrap all your summer memories!  Below you will find all the products that I used.

Have a fabulous week!

My poor Rustic Rooster stamp has not seen enough ink.  I pulled this stamp set out tonight and quickly thought of so many great ideas that he could be used for.  This set would be fabulous for Tumbler Tiles, Framed Art and seriously would add great flavor to any room as a Home Decor piece.  Hmm… he may need to sit in my stash pile for a little while longer so I can really get it inky.

I really put this card together in a matter of 15 minutes.  I promise… I’m not tellin’ a fib!  It may look difficult but I think all the stamped layers of this card just added more details.  I used the Sanded background and the Friends 24-7 stamp set.  If Friends 24-7 was to get lost in my stamp room I think it would be cause for panic.  I’m having a hard time NOT grabbing that stamp set.  The colors for this card include More Mustard, Kraft, Basic Black, and Summer Sun.  Speaking of Summer Sun, it is never a color that I grab for but recently it seems to have made it on a few projects I’m working on.  It really is a nice color.

I have so many projects going on right now.  My stamp room is a daily clutter fest.  I have to scrape off the desk to make room for the next project to be created.  Jeesh.  I am working on a bunch of new fun ideas for you with new product.  I’m getting ready for the new release of those products on Monday.

Don’t forget to check out my NEW Class to Go by clicking HERE!

Hope your week is fabulous. Need to tie a few loose ends tonight before I go to bed.

Finally, it’s here!  I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had time to update my classes to go.  I am so excited about this one!!!  These are classes that I teach every month in my home.  This month we took a trip to the Art Gallery.  We used the gorgeous Gallery stamp set and made a portfolio like no other.  You can purchase the 16 page PDF for only $7.95!  Click HERE to view more details about the class.  I think you will love this box.  There are four beautiful cards that go inside.  The PDF also includes a wonderful template to help you re-create the box.

Have a FABULOUS week!

Moments!

As you remember, the other night I did some power scrappin’!  Here ist he final layout using a few retiring favorites of mine!  These beautiful Fleurettes have been hoarded in a little jar that they sit so pretty in.  I decided that they MUST be used.  I love how these look on a Scrapbook page.  I also used the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper and used my Circle Scissors to cut a 6" circle to add to the layout.  the layout size is 8.5 x 11.

It’s a super simple layout, but it was a GREAT moment!  This was my friend Denise and I right before awards night last year at convention.  Great memories.  The "moments" came from the Greatest Moments rub ons that have retired.  I *love* Stampin’ Up! rub ons!  They go on as smooth as butter.

Cardstock: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette

Accessories: Fleurettes, Silver Brads, Circle scissors, Greatest Moments Rub Ons, Bella Rose DSP, 1 3/4 Circle punch, 1/2 circle punch, Paper piercer, Mat pack

Power Scrappin’

Tonight after my class I really wanted to dive into some long awaited scrapbooking.  While I was working on my Scraps in the Mail program I found a few pictures that made me smile and kept them on my desk to remind me to scrap them this week.  I think I will do this each week.  Just pull a few photos and keep them out so I can make sure I’m reminded to use them.  May not seem so overwhelming when I want to scrapbook!

I also cleaned out my stamp room today pulling retired DSP’s and Rub Ons and just wanted to cry seeing some of my fav Rub Ons that are on the way out.  So, to make me happy I used them!  :)

First, do these pictures not crack you up???  This is why I love scrapbooking.  Brings back memories of the day I watched my mom act like a goofball.  For this layout I used the Pefect Day Rub Ons for the Title and accents on the layout.  Then, a super fun idea is Shrinky Dinks for embellishments.  I used the retiring stamp set Seeing Spots and stamped on Shrinky Dink Stuff.  Then heated it up with my heat tool (careful, they dance around your table and they are HOT!).  Once they were cool, I put a glue dot behind them and used these for embellishments along the side of my page.  So FUN!

For this layout, I used the same Rub Ons only in White.  I used the Baja Breeze and Rockability DSP and the So Tweet Chipboard. Then I got SILLY and made my own bird!  I used a 1 3/4 Circle punch and then using the Basket & Blooms Die Cut I cut a small flower out of white felt and used that under the button from Button Bouquet.  The orange beak was just hand cut.  Lastly, for his tail I used the sizzlet Swirls Scribbles.

So, this was my Power Scrappin’ night.  I have one more layout I will share with you tomorrow night.
