The Project is “almost” finished!

Well, this project is still not completely finished, however it’s put together. It still needs a few doo dads (southern for Embellishments). I wanted to get the main part complete so I could bring it to my demo meeting tonight. This probably would not have taken so long had I not embossed each pennant. But that little bit of embossing really made this so pretty. I have it hanging in my stamp room now. Yeah!!!
To attach the pennants I placed a Jumbo Eyelet on each side of the pennants. Then I threaded 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon through the back of the pennant. I just received my new pretty ribbon today and I plan to add some of that ribbon along the top edge as well.
Have a fabulous day and thank you for stopping by!!

Work in Progress
Wow, I have been busy in my stamp room. I feel like I am running around in circles trying to get new stamp projects done. Today I have worked on a project that is really coming together. I was not able to finish it, however I thought I would share my work in progress. I hope to have this complete by tomorrow. May end up being Monday…

Here is how it starts. I ran some chipboard through my Big Shot using the Serif Alphabet Die Cuts and then ran Chocolate Chip cardstock with the same letters to cover the chipboard. I love how the Big Shot cuts chipboard. Very easy.

Next I wheeled each letter using Chocolate Chip ink for a soft look on the letters. I love this wheel!

Now it’s time to adhere the cardstock to the chipboard. Since the Serif Alphabet has some slender areas, I thought my Xyron would be the best adhesive to use. It worked beautifully. Typically I love to use our Stampin’ Up! glue sticks.

Now comes my favorite part. Using my Big Shot I cut many of the large and small pennants. This one shown in the photo I used Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla cardstock. Using VersaMark and that gorgeous wheel, I wheeled both pennants for a nice background. Then I clear embossed them. Oh so pretty so far. Time to put them together. I used dimensionals and put the small pennant on to the large pennant. I used my crop a dile to punch holes along the scallop edge. Sponged a little around the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.
I still have more to do before the finished project is done. Lots of fun stuff to add. Again, I hope to have it finished late tomorrow. So hang tight… it will get done.

Getting ready for BUNCO!
I’ve been stamping getting ready for my big BUNCO night tonight. I wanted to put something fun on the tables so I came up with these cute topiary thingies. Not sure if that is what they are called but it sounds good to me. I guess we could call them basket with foam thingies and a stick! LOL!

I used my new Baskets and Blooms die cut and then painted a foam ball pink with Acrylic pink. For the top portion that is stuck on a stick I used my Top Note die cut on a piece of chipboard. I was silly gigglie when I rolled that thru!!! It cut that chipboard soooooooo easy. YIPPIE! Then I just did the same die with the Bella DSP. Isn’t that cute? Well I couldn’t stop there. I then used the cool Go Go Boots Alphabet dies to cut out Bunco. Then I just tied a pretty ribbon on it and VIOLA! I’m proud of it. LOL!

Above are the door prizes that I made for my bunco night. Some have just candy pieces in them. Some have something EXTRA special in them. Boy, can’t wait to start rolling the dice.

Now for the card. One of my favorite things to do each month is make my monthly downline cards. This month was no exception. I love sending cards to my downline. For this one I tried to tie in a lot of fun elements, yet the card is still simple. I used the Top Note die cut for the focal point on the card and stamped our new Statement of the Heart stamp onto it. I added a little fun ribbon and then lastly used our anniversary embosslit to add just a little more kick. I thought this was a perfect card for my fabulous downline.
Oh, and lastly… GO USA! I love the Olympics. What a proud night for Americans. Whooo Hooo!! That Micheal Phelps is AWESOME!

Do you believe?

Do you believe? How about in yourself? I believe every demonstrator has the ability to earn the Stampin’ Up! cruise. It just takes the desire, motivation and the right attitude and you too could take a loved one on one of the best trips EVER! This year we are working towards the Southern Caribbean 2010 cruise on board one of Royal Caribbean cruise lines. How nice is that???
I made these little magnents for many of my downline who are VERY cruise minded. I know they are working hard this year to attain this goal. I think when you can have something in your view that you can see EVERY DAY it just reminds you of this goal. So, I challenge you to make your own cute magnent or inpsirational flyer/poster and put it someplace where you can see it EVERY DAY!!! There is room for tons of us on that boat. I know this would make Shelli excited too!!!

I used the Bigz Top Note die and stamped these beautiful flowers on it. For a little added embellishment I added a Jumbo Eyelet to tie my ribbon.

This next card is easy peazy and I used the Bigz Top Note again along with my Go Go Boots Alphabet die. Oh, isn’t that cute? I also added one of those beautiful buttons for a little extra punch for the card. Super easy!
