Tonight was the start of my Christmas Card Crank.   Where we cranked 16 Christmas cards out and had fun while doing it.  All of them ended up being my favorites.  :)   I took a card that Kristina Werner did long ago and used current Stampin’ Up! stamps and a little bling bling to fluff it up some.  This uses the stamp set Holiday Trinkets.  This card only had one challenge… getting the linen thread perfectly placed.

Lovely as a Tree Christmas

This next card doesn’t even use ADHESIVE!!  GET OUT!  Of course I had to incorporate the Big Shot and Lovely as a Tree stamp set with this.   Loved how this stamp fit perfectly in the Top Note Die Cut.  I added a little more bling as well with Dazzling Diamonds.  The sentiment came from the stamp set Heard from the Heart.  Again, no adhesive because the ribbon is holding that Top Note!  So cool and really would save  you money on making so many of these for Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas Deer

This next card was a layout I stole right out of my Stampin’ Success Magazine I get monthly from Stampin’ Up!  I love this magazine and all the GREAT ideas I get from it.  I changed up some of the stamp sets and also added the Scallop Circle Die Cut using my Big Shot.  I loved how this added to the focus of the center of the card.  The stamp set I used was Deer Friends.  Love this HOSTESS set.  "Merry Christmas" came from the stamp set All Holidays.  Another fabulous stamp set.

Lastly, and probably one of my favorites because it was simple but had a little WOW factor.  I used the designer paper Holiday Treasures and the stamp set Punches Three.  This is also a HOSTESS set that I love!!

So there you have it, four cards to get you started this Holiday season.

Thanks for stopping by and have a FABULOUS day!!!

My new FAVORITE place…

Spooky Jar

WORLD MARKET!!  I am always jealous of those that live so close to an Ikea! Well now I feel oh so lucky to live near a World Market.  Wow this place has fabulous things.  I found my cool Spooky Jar that I applied my Spooky Spider to.  This new Decor Elements will be available in October when Phase 2 of the Decor Elements is released.  I just LOVE this spider and love this jar.  What a fun little decor item for our home!  The kids just went crazy over this.  Well, at least I hope thats what it was and not all the candy!

Below you will find a close up of the tag I made for my jar.  I love the Just Jawing stamp set!  It will work for many things, not just Halloween.

So, during my journey through the World Market, I also found these lovely vases and what I was tickled more about was the sand that was Red Riding Hood Red.  I think I squealed in the store when I ran across it.

You will notice I put some Asian looking fake plants inside the vase.  I loved how these looked. Then I decorated my chipboard tag with Eastern Blooms stamp and Bella Designer Paper.  I wanted that Riding Hood Red floral paper in the pack because it looked so pretty next to the sand.

Over all, this is super easy to put together.  I just love how I can decorate my home with my stamp sets and paper along with a few not so expensive items.

Hope you had a fabulous weekend.  More to share tomorrow.

Fall back into Scrapbooking!

Fall in love that is!  I am a scrapbooker at heart and it felt SO good to sit down last night and put this layout together.  Nothing is better than incorporating stamps with your scrapbooking.  This is one reason (of hundreds) that I just LOVE Stampin’ Up!’s products for scrapbooking.  Everything ties in together.  If you are a die hard scrapbooker you really could get all your shopping done in one sweep in the SU catalog.  Love how paper, inks, stamps and Designer paper all coordinate together.

Tonight I had a scrapbooking class and the title was Fall back into Scrapbooking. One, it had been a while since I had a scrapbook class and two we are drawing near the Fall season here in Colorado.  At tonights class I really tied in the Big Shot to show just how AWESOME this tool is!!  Let’s talk about these layouts!

Fall Back into Scrapbooking

The Big Shot had a lot of uses tonight. Here are a list of the dies I used: Scallop Circle #2, Leaves #2, Go Go Boots, Serif Essentials, Top Note Bigz Die, and Scallop Circle.  I just loved how these leaves came out.  We used the Sanded background and then sponged each leaf and rolled them between our fingers to give them a little life.  The designer paper is Hawaii Papaya.  Such beautiful paper and the colors are just stunning.  I also enjoyed using the Top Notes Die as a journaling block.  LOVE it!

Layout 2

This is the second layout.  Again, lots of leaves on the right side of the layout.  I love using the Serif Essentials Alphabet for scrapbooking.  I actually cut chipboard letters and then layered the Designer Paper over them.  Here is a secret on my chipboard.  I am using Mat Board that you can get at your local FRAME store.  It cuts beautifully with your Big Shot.  I used my Go Go Boots dies for the 07′.  So fun!!

I love TILES!

I love making these fun tiles and usually Fabulous Flower is my first pick when I am making them.  After getting this gorgeous Inspired by Nature set I had to test it on a tile.  It turned out so pretty. Ready to make your own??  They are super simple.  Just stamp your image using Craft Ink.   I used sponge daubers to apply the ink and then sprinkle Stampin’ Up!’s Glassy Glaze over the entire image on the tile.  Place in your oven (not a toaster oven!) at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.  Let cool and then embellish with ribbon and more doo dads.  This type of tile is really one for decorative use only.  These are such fabulous gifts for your friends and family.  I encourage you to make these tiles for family during the holidays.  They are inexpensive and beautiful. I used our new Wide Oval punch for the sentiment!!

My Pirate Chic!

Oh my, love this stamp set.  I had a little time today to sit and play.  I am sure there are plenty of fun things to do with this stamp set and tonight I thought I would try my hand at a few.  Pirate Chic

Who could resist this fun Designer paper??  This paper is called Ghostly Greetings.  I stamped the skull in Stazon and put some Tombow liquid glue in her eye balls and put the pink Chunky Glitter in the center of her eyes.  Then I used the new Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain ribbon around her head to make a bandana.  Oh…. love this.  Very simple, but fun.

This card is very similar to the first, but this time i used the ribbon on the side of the card.  I also added a little cute bow to her head.  Fun, fun set.  Hope you enjoyed a little inspiration for the day!
